Debbie English, [07 Jan 2024 at 19:15:31]: Evening everyone! I'm looking at trying a different approach to reduce stress (in captivity and handling stress) in some of our wildlife patients that receive veterinary treatment in a hospital/practice environment as well as when they are moved to rehab and then release stages. Ideally would prefer a long acting option that doesn't require daily dosing due to the nature of some of these patients. Does anyone have experience with pipothiazine palmitate? Richard Burroughs Hi Debbie. What species?. We trialled pipothiazine palmate in ungulates 40 years ago, but the response to therapy was not consistent, and extra-pyramidal symptoms were severe. We abandoned trialling it and focussed on pipothiazine enanthate and zuclopenthixol acetate instead.
