John van Zyl, 11 September 2024. Hello everyone. I have tended to this sable calf today. Hair and superficial skin sloughing. Crusts and scales everywhere, as seen in the photos. 1. 2-3 months old 2. Only animal in herd that is affected. 3. Rest of herd in very good condition. 4. Mother 100 % 5. No ticks. 6. Skin scrape negative for mites and fungus. Any ideas towards a diagnosis? Senkobo disease needs to be ruled out. Skin biopsy for histopathology. Sample for dermatophyte culture
