HO Reuter, [29 Jan 2024 at 22:31:22]: Good evening, Do any of you have experience of putting hippo bulls (possibly from different farms at different times) together in a smallish game camp (1000-2000) with a suitable hippo dam? I suspect this can work and young bulls (3 year old) (injured and kicked out by dominant bulls on other farms) might bond easily if there are no cows are around? How will they react as they get older and became sexually mature if there are no females around? Also, if anyone knows of female hippos for sale, can you send me a private message with contact details. It seems the few farms with hippo here in Namibia predominantly produce bull calves that get “kicked out”, with no spare females to translocate with these. Thanks
