Gareth Hunter, [18 Apr 2023 at 14:52:05]: Does anybody have any suggestions with regards to this male porcupine? Not much is known about the animal. Has an unusual high stepping gait that is pretty much constant. More pronounced in hind limbs, but it seems to be subtly present in the fore limbs as well. Nothing hugely abnormal on physical under sedation. Haematology and serum biochemistry all normal. Nothing that jumped out on vertebral radiographs. I was a bit concerned about those small opacities in the intervertebral foraminae that are circled, but I think that’s just likely positioning/overlap? No improvement on steroids. Contrast radiography/CT scans probably only other thing one could do? Eating and otherwise fine. This was shortly after anaesthetic, so the wobbling is from the drugs.
