[2022/03/16, 17:52:02] Peter Rogers: Good evening all - does anybody have a WBP dose for wild lions please ? [2022/03/16, 17:56:27] Neil Parsons: These were the suggested doses from one of the courses last year. [2022/03/16, 17:56:41] Zoe Glyphis: Hi Pete. I've used between 40 and 50mg total dose for big males on loading for long distance transport. [2022/03/16, 17:57:47] Zoe Glyphis: I'm sure you'd be 100% safe going to 75mg according to the table Neil posted 👆🏼 [2022/03/16, 17:58:33] Ulf Tubessing: What did you guys think of the action of the WBP on lion? [2022/03/16, 17:59:31] Maaike de Schepper: Would you advise giving it with a hard release translocation? [2022/03/16, 17:59:47] Peter Rogers: Thank you so much everyone 🙏🏻 [2022/03/16, 18:05:25] Zoe Glyphis: The crates we used were really good and the capture was very stress-free, so difficult to tell. I think anyone who has used it in fractious lions should rather comment? In other carnivore species that I've hospitalised or crated for transport, I definitely feel it's beneficial. Also doesn't seem to effect appetite. I would be very cautious giving it to any animal you are releasing into the wild or into an environment where it would potentially need to defend itself. [2022/03/16, 18:16:01] Ulf Tubessing: I have used it to introduce a captive male to females where they were fighting before introduction – this went well after using the above dosage
