Placental membranes are hanging from the vulva - a small amount and dry, . There is no discharge, and no obvious signs of illness. The handler thinks it is losing condition. I can find no recorded reference to negative effect of this in elephant. I am sure that there will be some serious cases. I am reluctant to intervene, (sedation, blood antibiotic) other than increase food and deworm. All opinions, experiences and advice welcome.
