Nele Sabbe, [27 Jul 2023 at 12:54:01]: Hi. What do you normally prefer for oral deworming of cheetahs? I just would like to know if there are common preferences with the vets that work a lot with cheetahs. Adrian Tordiffe, [27 Jul 2023 at 13:42:47]: The only deworming drug that can be problematic in cheetahs is pyrantel pamoate. The pamoate salt limits absorption from the gut to virtually zero, but gut inflammation (common in cheetahs) can lead to significant absorption and toxicity. Generally, praziquantel combined with fenbendazole or milbemycin are perfectly fine. Henry Labuschagne, [27 Jul 2023 at 17:12:55]: š I use Milpro (milbemycin plus praziquantel) tablet.
