Newton Sparks, [02 Mar 2023 at 11:29:51]: I had a case last week of Babesia in 23 day old Jaguar. It presented in a similar way to cerebral biliary in dogs - very acute, nervous symptoms ( slight opisthotonus and stargazing), lung oedema, it deteriorated and died in a couple of hours. Has anybody else seen cases of cerebral biliary in cat species? Any chance that this might be an intra-uterine infection? I feel it is a little old for that. Any cheetah in nearby camps ? Newton Sparks : No PCR done. I don't know the sp. It was hand-reared, and there are no cheetah nearby.
