Annie Mears, 2 Dec 2022 Hi - does anyone know what kind of bat this is found in the EC Grahamstown? Pierre Nel, [02 Dec 2022 at 13:08:35]: According to a biologist ( although difficult from a picture): if it was found in a building, probably a Cape serotine bat. If the posterior part of the tail not attached to the skin web, probably an Egyptian free-tailed bat. From the photos thats the best guess. With close-ups from different angles, a better identification will be easier. Cape serotine bat Egyptian free-tailed bat
