[2022/02/11, 19:51:41] Louis Greeff: Client took this video material this afternoon – it looks like bilateral glaucoma. Her mother looks after her well and she suckles well. Any advice on any treatment? Her umbilicus is still on, so very young. [2022/02/11, 20:34:13] Brent Sirrals: Bilateral enucleation if there is no vision. No long term medication for glaucoma unfortunately – it’s a very destructive disease. "Ahmed valve" implant would be a thought but they do not last long either. (Dectomax plus Vit A? ) [2022/02/11, 20:43:10] Gary Bauer: Its difficult from video to distinguish between glaucoma and exophthalmos, I think. But it does seem to be buphthalmic?? A proper examination would be able to give accurate diagnosis and prognosis. [2022/02/11, 20:43:10] Erik Verrynne: I think it’s too late for any viable treatment Johan. But I am curious to hear from the experts. Unusual in such young animals [2022/02/11, 20:46:27] Louis Greeff: I personally think, and what I could gather from the owners description, is that is not likely to be uitpeuloog. The animal is too young and it physically looks if the eyes are enlarged. Both eyes are affected to the same extent. I agree with Erik that there is not really a viable long term solution.
