Zoe Glyphis, [30 Jan 2023 at 11:12:53]: Any advise for treating environmental flea contamination in predator camps? I recall hearing something about working lime into the sand/soil. Luis Amaral : I use this bate quite successfully. Hang small containers in shelter and place some granules in it. That is for flies For fleas, I spray Bayticol Zoe Glyphis, [30 Jan 2023 at 11:20:35]: Thanks Luis! Any tricks for fleas? Sounds like agricultural lime might work. Obviously pyrethroids would work but I think it's risky for the cats and expensive... Thanks will suggest Bayticol Peter Rogers, [30 Jan 2023 at 13:43:27]: If you control the fleas on the predators eg using Bravecto you will quickly sort the flea problem out Elmien Kotze, [30 Jan 2023 at 13:48:30]: Some clients use diatomaceous earth. Would maybe work better than lime. Shaun Beverley, [30 Jan 2023 at 13:54:00]: I agree with Pete. Henry Labuschagne, [30 Jan 2023 at 14:27:29]: I agree with Elmien. Diatomaceous earth - it works well. It dries the area and eggs don't hatch and adults dries out. 5% of the problem is on animals. 95% in environment. A long-lasting and effective product to consider is Ultrum Duration environment spray. This works better indoors.
