Gernot Redeker, 16 Nov 2024 Good morning. This is the fourth dik-dik over the past year now with these symptoms. I did a full PM on the last one, but could not find any abnormalities. As they are held in small camps, I assume some or other toxin in the food? Does anyone have an idea what it could be or have seen similar symptoms? The symptoms start within hrs. From 100% normal to showing these symptoms. They get fed a game pellet and freshly cut bushes twice daily. Thanks Jacoba Dongo, [16 Nov 2024 at 09:24:08]: Have you checked for cerebro-cortical necrosis (CCN) / polioencephalomalacia? Necrotic areas of brain may fluoresce under UV light, although lesions are sometimes easier to see in formalin fixed specimens. Histopathology on brain will give an answer. I wonder if there is not something specific in that camp, such as a toxic plant, that causes the neurological symptoms / mortalities?
