Newton Sparks, [16 Apr 2024 at 11:56:37]: Good day. I have a suspected case of Pasteurella multocida in buffalo. 2 calves died acutely at 4 months of age. It's a small herd - all other animals in group are adults, which appear normal at this stage. Deaths were the end of last week after the rains we had. I am waiting for results on culture. I know Design Biologix manufacture a vaccine with type B and E. Any other vaccinations available? Any prophylactic treatment protocols advisable? My feeling is that the cold weather affected mostly the calves, because of their smaller bodyweight, but I would appreciate the group's experience with respect to Pasteurella outbreaks in buffalo.
