We have to transfer our rescued Bengal tiger 1 year old about 80 kgs (from Pakistan to South Africa) He has been trained to go inside the cage for rest and sleep (specifically made for his transport) for last 2-3 months. He will travel by air cargo – the approximate travel duration is 18 hours. Should we tranquilise him? Henry Labuschagne, [07 Jan 2024 at 17:42:42]: If he is used to the crate I would not give tranquilisers. I would spray the inside of the crate with pheromone or similar calming spray. I use Pet Remedy. If you have time I would recommend to close the crate for short periods when he goes in to sleep and see if he remains calm when the crate is closed.
