Calvin Smith, 7 March 2025 This is a zoo-born waterbuck with a very different colour to all the others, or any other waterbuck I have ever seen. I wanted to know if anyone else has ever seen one that is this colour? The genetics are supposed to be good i.e. not related but with the system we are in, one can never know for sure. It seems strong and healthy. The guys working with them thought it was a hybrid between a waterbuck and an eland as they share a camp and there has been some dodgy behaviour between the 2 species. Why has the calf been loaded?
