Joel Alves, 28 May 2025 Good evening, all. I have had a report of a +/- four-week-old black rhino calf seen by trackers to be walking on its “knees”. The video is short and unfortunately not the best but gives a fair idea of how it is moving. There have been no reports of movement after birth until now. Also, no footage or pictures to indicate how raw or rubbed the knees are which may indicate the duration, but just interested if anyone has ever seen something similar? Contracted tendons?
